The Myths of the Sheikah
Sheikah tribal religion
The Sheikah religion is based on the worship of the 6 Deities: Dwyn the God/dess of Spirit (and/or Survival), Ronen the God of Battle, Lyon the God of Nature, Bram the Father, God of Light, Seren the Goddess of Knowledge, and Cahya Goddess of Death.
The Religious organization is based on Shamanistic traditions, with each settlement having a head Shaman (and occasionally, lower shamans, depending on the size of the settlement). Each settlement also usually has a host of disciples who are in the process of pledging to their chosen Deity. They may or may not stay in the settlement after pledging. It is not uncommon for new acolytes to be sent to different settlements or camps to fill gaps in necessary posts (healers, rangers, warriors, etc).
The religion also has a heavy focus on personal spiritual journeys, which may include spirit quests along The Path of Waking Dreams. Usually only those who are pledging to a certain religious sphere are required to walk the path, but it is not unheard of for the unpledged to walk along the road. Furthermore, there are several religious ceremonies throughout the year where the entire community gathers to pray. It is uncommon for anyone to purposefully miss out on those ceremonies and those abroad usually still celebrate, though not with their given community obviously.
